So instead of putting your iphone onto a dock that has a wire — you put your iphone into a proprietary case onto the powermat that can’t sync to your computer … that has a wire.
it is not wireless, it is just another way of charging a device, it is touching the metallic surface. i would call it wireless if the device is at least not touching a metallic surface

charging your iPhone every ten to twenty minutes can also reduce the battery life. you should charge and let it until its almost empty that’s why the battery life gets longer
